heating and cooking are some of the common usage for propane in
hotels, retail stores and restaurants.
Industrial needs
for propane are fuel for forklifts, temporary construction heat,
as a cutting gas and to fire furnaces. Local gas utility customers
maintain a standby propane capability for use during peak demand
periods. Poultry brooding, tobacco curing and crop drying are some
usages in the agricultural market. Propane is burned in internal
combustion engines, when used as a fuel, that power over-the-road
vehicles, forklifts and stationary engines.
